Overview:
Assist the soil and water program staff in collection and input of soil and hydrologic data. Significant training provided with many opportunities for hands on learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
The Hydrology Technician Intern will collect data for: water uses, water quality, stream functioning and soil disturbance. The position will require data management within agency databases and other duties as required according to project descriptions This position may walk/hike over rough terrain and be subject to varying weather conditions in the field.
Qualifications:
The position requires experience working outdoors in a field setting, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working well in a group, and proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing software are required. Applicants who possess these skills, and are pursuing a degree in fields related to earth science, will be given priority consideration. All are encouraged to apply.
